Codice 2
Half hero
Oil and chalk on wood 30x82, April 2020
The picture is dedicated to healthcare professionals who have worked in inhumane conditions in recent months to be able to cure us of Covid 19, risking and even losing their lives. They never wanted to be called heroes and such a definition would not have been necessary if the public health sector had not been reduced to a minimum in recent decades. Will politics re-evaluate the situation or will it proceed as if nothing had happened?
How not to agree with Bertold Brecht who wrote: "Unfortunate the people who need heroes".
