SECOND PLACE AT THE "PAINTING IN OULX" SHOW ON 29 AND 30 JULY 2017, IN THE COMPETITION CATEGORY.

Surely the house most photographed and represented in drawings and paintings, it is located at the intersection of Via al Castello and Via Santa Croce, in the heart of the historic center of Rivoli.
When I participated in the Balconi Fioriti competition, in June 2015, I had to emphasize the aura of magic that surrounds it. And here on a clear night with a full moon, it happens that our satellite approaches, attracted by the beauty of the house. In turn, the strong attraction due to the reduced distance causes the detachment of the front part from the rest of the building.
The small size of the canvas is due to the competition rules.
Here are the words written by my daughter as a presentation of the canvas :
Here is one of the buildings
more details of the city.
The ivy, which climbs on its facade,
catches the eye
of passers-by.
During the day it's just this:
a house covered in greenery;
at night it turns:
the appearance of the Moon,
big and pale,
makes it alive.
So it happens that the house,
pervaded by a sudden desire
to reach that cold satellite,
reach out one of his arms e
the facade separates from the rest of the house.
Attracted, it rises and begins to float ...

Via Bioletto, another street in the historic center of Rivoli: an abandoned villa, a wooden door worn by woodworms.
What will there be beyond?
And here, beyond all this decadence, a treasure and its keeper are hidden, who looks out not very happy to have been disturbed.

Rivoli, Via Santa Maria della Stella. An arch stimulates my imagination and so in the painting it becomes a stargate, a passage for the stars.
A girl and her faithful companion are preparing to embark on a journey. One, even in his young age, has already understood what injustices the world is covered with, the other has already been a victim of human wickedness. The leash is no longer useful, a glance is enough: where they are directed there will be no reasons for fear that can divide them.
And here the goal is the same planet Earth, where the Poles have geographically reversed and the South of the World has become the North. Metaphorically, it is a place where the true values of humanity, of coexistence and respect for all living beings on the planet have supplanted economic interests.
Again, the words written by my daughter, who is the protagonist in the picture:
And the gate opens wide. The portal reveals a long road suspended between the stars, a bridge to another world.
Nobody should know of its existence, nobody should have opened it: it was a secret; but someone did.
The girl and her faithful companion, eyes full of wonder, watch him show this scene.
The scars that the dog bears on his body and in his soul give rise to the desire, deep and burning, to find a place where values are the exact opposite of those that govern our world.
A nod, a knowing look that the faithful friend throws at the human is enough to confirm the girl's thoughts: it's time to go, happiness is simply beyond, at the end of the bridge; it is enough to have the courage to reach it.
