The scent of oil paints
No prospects (Picasso)
Oil on canvas 61x79.5, December 2022 It is the reproduction of "The portrait of Dora Maar" by Pablo Picasso, but made to pay homage to the woman and not the painter. In fact, Dora Maar was a long-time lover of the Spanish master, who mistreated her as he used to do with all his women, whether they were lovers or wives. Dora, following this relationship, spent some time in a psychiatric clinic. My title wants to emphasize the woman who, psychologically destroyed by her "master" (as she had defined him), finds herself having no more life prospects and, at the same time, for a play on words, the lack of perspective representation is the basis of Picasso's cubist painting. The canvas and the frame are self-produced.

Peasant woman ties sheaves (Vincent Van Gogh)
Watercolor on A4 paper, December 2021 A challenge perhaps more difficult than the others, the reproduction of Van Gogh especially in watercolor. The result satisfies me enough.
The painting was exhibited in the exhibition for humanitarian purposes held from 13 May to 5 June 2022 at the annex of Casa Carena in Rivoli and donated to the association for charity sales.
Hug (Renato Guttuso)
Watercolor on A4 paper, December 2021 Another reproduction of a beautiful painting by Guttuso, seen from life on display at GAM, when this pandemic period was still only the plot of a discopic film.
Private collection.
Vespa ride (Renato Guttuso)

Face of war
Oil on canvas 70x60, October 2021 I saw this work on display at the Surrealism exhibition organized by the Ferrero Foundation in Alba, one of the most beautiful exhibits I have ever visited. Dalì's work from life is fascinating. With a lot of work, suspending the realization for two years because it was driving me crazy, I still managed to complete it.
Spatial concept (two-dimensional)
Oil on canvas 70x60, June 2020
Lockdown: suspension period, waiting period. I thought of Lucio Fontana and his Tagli, with which he transformed the concept of space, at the same time provoking the expectation of an answer.
By interpreting Fontana's work with only oil colors and adapting it to the current period, I transformed the question: "What can one expect to see beyond a crack on a canvas?" in "How Can You Expect to Live After a Pandemic?".
Paul Klee said: "The scarier this world is, the more abstract the art is."
